Questions You Need To Ask Before Starting Up An Internet Business (part 2)

jeffsf2.jpg In this post I am going to finish up from my last post on the important questions you should be asking yourself before you start up your own online Internet Marketing Business.

In the last post we discussed that you need to think about the qualities you possess, what is it that really makes you tick and how these qualities might help you be a more successful business owner before you really get started.

In part 2 we are going to finish this post by asking the Important questions about who are target audience is, who are your customers.  We will need to ask questions about our “GREAT MONEY MAKING IDEA” Who is our competition and what do you have to offer as your USP that will distinguish you as the marketer of choice over your competition.

  1. Do I really have a money making idea? Not all great ideas make money. A good business idea    addresses a problem, need or pain that a particular group of people or companies face that is significant enough to warrant spending money to solve or alleviate. Before bringing a new product or service to market
test your ideas and make sure they’re profitable before you get started.
    y
  2. Who are my ideal target customers? Every business needs customers.  Successful businesses know exactly how to describe who their best customers are, You will understand  what “pain” they’re feeling and what they need, want, and desire. Knowing this will allow you to connect with the pain and their needs and provide the solution to the problems your customers are experiencing…and what solutions they are willing to open up their wallets and pay for.
  3. Who is my competition? This is a big one.  First of all yes you want competition.  Competition tells you there is a market already.  You just need to rise to the occasion and be better than your competition.  You will need to learn everything you can about the others in your field who provide similar products or services to the same ideal customer.  Know what products and services they offer and which ones that they don’t so that you can fill the holes that are existing in the current market.  Trust me they are there.  It may be something like offering better support than the competition, or offering audio and video training that your competition does not.  This take us right into the next important question you need to ask yourself before starting up your online Internet business…
  4. What do I offer that the competition doesn’t?   Why do I as the customer want to choose you to provide the solution to my problem?  What makes Your services or product unique above the competitors? This is your USP… (Unique Selling Proposition) You”ll need to make this case to your prospective customers to buy your product or service instead of buying from your competition.  Why should your customer make you their Marketer of Choice.

The last couple questions I want to direct back to you on a more personal level again…

  5. Do YOU enjoy a good challenge? Trust me when I say that a business will provide you with constant challenges. If you enjoy a good challenge, then that is a good thing as you will find that  it will energize you. If you don’t, you better ask yourself right now if you are up to the challenge you are venturing into… you may end up finding yoursel feeling as though you’re engaged in a constant uphill battle and that you are all alone.  This will lead to your business possibly failing, and an early departure from the Internet Marketing world.
  6. Are you a self starter?  When you have your own business, there’s no boss or manager to tell you what to do and when to do it.  You are the one that is now the boss.  I know that part really sounds great and let me tell you from my experience that IT IS GREAT!  But also from experience I can tell you that this is easier said than done. To get your business off and running you’ll have to motivate yourself to get things started.  Every day you will be faced with the decision of something as simple as do I want to really get out of bed and set at my computer today to accomplish what I need to get done….or do I want to procrastinate today and put it off until you feel like doing it more than you do today.  Ever procrastinated before?  Have you ever had less desirable results because of your procrastination?Am I a self starter? When you have your own business, there’s no boss or manager to tell you what to do and when to do it. To get your business off and running you’ll have to motivate yourself to get things started.

Well there you have it…those are the 12 questions I would ask myself before I decided to start my own online Internet Marketing business.
Although I am sure there are several more I could come up with…those are tops on the list.  If you have any others you would like to share with those reading the posts please feel free to share in the comments.

Enjoy your day

Questions You Need To Ask Before Starting Up An Internet Business (part 1)

img_0215jeffstewart3.jpgI get asked all of the time how I went about starting up my successful Internet Marketing Business Layoff Your Boss Marketing LLC.

I kind of laugh because when I started I did not intend on having a business,  My only goal was to make money fast so that I could survive financially.  What I found myself with was a 6 figure Internet Marketing Business that I did not know how to run and found myself quickly sinking fast.

When I am asked how I would go about starting up Layoff Your boss Marketing LLC right now if I was to start all over I tell people I would start out by giving myself an interview just like I would be given for a job by my potential employer.

I also tell them that before you decide to start a business, you might want to think about the qualities you possess, what is it that really makes you tick and how these qualities might help you be a more successful business owner.   But before you make that big decision, I recommend that you ask yourself these very important questions:

  1. Why do I want my own Internet Marketing Business?
  2. What is your Passions, interests, talents, and skills do I have that will assist you in running your new Internet Marketing business?   Inventory the abilities you already possess, and think about all the ways you can use them to grow your business.
  3. Out of your skills what skills do you need to learn or brush up on to run your business effectively?  RYou will benefit if you begin to recognize which skills you need to develop in order to run your business most effectively. If you identify the ones that are worth investing time into learning, and which ones you might be better off outsourcing you will save yourself a lot of valuable time in the learning process and move ahead more quickly.
  4. What are your strengths and weaknesses? The ability to do this will be invaluable for you as the business owner. Recognizing and understand the things that you’re good at and what you’re not.  By doing so you will help yourself decide how to use your time wisely, and  when it would be a good time to outsource to the experts or outside professionals for help when needed
  5. Will I chose to do be meaningful and really interests and excites me?  OK this one is one of the most important questions you can ask yourself.  By choosing a Niche that really excites you and speaks to who you really are, you will find that it will be more fun and rewarding when it speaks to who you are and the things you hold dear. When we’re engaged in doing something rewarding it helps to motivate you to keep going even when things get tough. You will need to get in touch with your values and see if there is a synergy between them and the things you’ll be doing in your business. If not, see how you can spin things so that there is.   If you are not excited about what you are doing you will very quickly lose your focus and drive to keep doing the things you need to accomplish.
  6. Have I established business goals?Very few people that want to get started even think about setting business goals.  Goal setting is an important part of any business plan. But setting a goal is only part of the big picture. Achieving them is even more important. Learn how to identify which goals are important enough to commit to, and systematically work towards them by breaking them down into steps, establishing time-lines, identifying resources needed, and benchmarks for success.  Set smaller more achievable goals along the path of the end goal.  Make sure that you will have to work some to achieve these goals.  Don’t make them so easy that you will not feel it was meaningful that you accomplished your goals.

AN example of this would be when I used to go out running.  I set a goal to run 20 miles in one run without stopping.  I had never accomplished this task and I was not going to start out by trying to run 20 miles my first time out.  I did  accomplish this goal but I started out with 1 mile and then as I felt I could raise the bar I increased to 3 miles. I knew that 2 miles would be easier to achieve than 3, but I also wanted to feel a bigger sense of accomplishment so I pushed myself for the 3.  Once I accomplished 3 I celebrated and then moved it to 5 miles.  I celebrated each success and soon I accomplished my end goal of 20 miles.  This took me right about a year to accomplish but I did it and I felt great about my success.

Set your goals in the same manner.

I will continue the questions on my next post that I write so be looking for the remainder of the questions I feel you should ask yourself before you start up your Internet Marketing Business.

Soon you will be Laying Off Your Boss and you will have to make some very important decisions.

How Patterns of Reactions are actually brain science

jeffsf2.jpgHow Patterns of Reactions are actually brain science.

When you react to a situation, you’re acting automatically out of habit and the way you were trained. But you can choose to respond in a more positive way that brings the results you want.

I want to tell you a quick story about a Marine and how he reacted to a certain scenario.

One day a friend of a former Marine walked up behind the former Marinewho had just returned from two tours of duty in  Viet Nam.  The vet didn’t hear his friend until he was right behind him.  The former Marines training kicked in, and he whirled and started to strike out.  Fortunately, he caught himself in time, and his friend apologized profusely for seeming to sneak up on him.

The Marine had spent months in mortal danger, using the survival skills he’d learned, and was still reacting as if he were in the jungle.

We are trained much the same way, and Over time, we learn a certain way of reacting that reflects attitudes, environment, and situations we encounter.  As we grow older, we continue those reactions without thinking, just as my marine friend did.

However, we can consciously choose a different way to respond to our current situation. This is the difference between “re-acting” and “responding.”  When we “re-act,” we act in the same way, over and over, automatically.

By consciously choosing what kind of result we want, and how we want to feel about ourselves afterwards, we’re “responding” to the situation.  Maybe you have heard this saying before Jeff, “If you always do what you’ve always done, you’re always going to get what you’ve always gotten.”

If you continue to react in the same way that you always have, your never going to change and neither will your life. It’s not easy to change these old reaction patterns as in some cases we have had years of training to acquire these patterns,
but it can be done, and we can begin by looking at reactions that aren’t working in our lives.

To change the old patterns permanently, we need to choose our responses, and act on them every time the triggering situation arises.  when we react, we need to catch ourselves doing it and immediately change to a new chosen response, the
brain will begin to catch on.

Once we are in a different situation than the one in which we learned to react, we can choose a more positive responses. Responses that bring us the results we want.

Are you ready for the results you want Jeff?

We develop our habits, that’s why successful people become more successful, and those that are unsuccessful will unfortunately remain unsuccessful Until they learn how to change the patterns and habits they have developed over their life.

People admit to buying product after product that guarantees them success and yet they never open them or take any kind of action whatsoever to try  and achieve the guaranteed success?

Why is this?  What are they reacting to that causes the purchase?

What are we reacting to that causes us to not take action…and to just let the product set on our desktop…or ask for a refund before we even give it a try?

I know there are some very good reasons for this…but we need to take a look at this in a different light and see if we can stop some of our reactions patterns that are keeping us from the success we are meant to achieve.

The Procrastination Membership Club

jeffsf2.jpgAre you a member of the procrastination membership club?

If not I want to recommend that you stay as far away from it as possible.

Most times I feel I should be the leader of this group.  A friend of mine and I go back and forth about who really should be the leader as she feels she is worse than I am.

We have a lot of fun with each other and it is a good way for us to deal in a humorous way about our procrastination problems we have.

All kidding aside though procrastination is a very serious issue and it can prevent us from reaching the success we desire.

If you are a member of our procrastination club you can probably give me or show me a big list of responsibilities that you have not gotten around to getting taken care of, or at the very least you didn’t get them taken care of until last minute, in which the damage is more likely already done.
While procrastination may seem to be a simple concept and even harmless, it can actually result in some serious issues.  So even though we usually just laugh it off and make it a joke…when the success level you desire is not being reached it is no longer a laughing matter.
I really believe that periodic procrastination is to be expected in life However, but when it gets to the point of your life coming to a halt and your goals are not being accomplished, then it is time to take a serious look into the situation and figure out how to get things moving along.

So how do you know if you are a procrastinator?

You may have a problem with procrastination if…

  •  Necessary work gets shoved aside to do the more enjoyable things in life.
  • You find yourself feeling overwhelmed all the time, and you just do not
     know where to begin.
  • You find yourself telling people that you have too much to do right now
and that you will try to get to it next week”
  • You often find yourself evading making decisions.
  • You find yourself avoiding most new experiences because change is difficult.
  • You take the time to carefully map out projects but rarely see them through.
  • When something does not go as planned you often will fault others other
     than yourself.
  • Find yourself feeling sick when you are faced with with an undesirable task.
  • Remain in a job when you are unhappy for fear of making a move.
  • Avoid confrontation at any cost so you are not challenged on why you did
not complete your tasks and goals.

Procrastination can be the cause of many lost opportunities and a reduction in your quality of life.

We all have our own personal reasons why we choose to not take care of our responsibilities. For some of us it may be the one thing that I see a lot with new people trying to get started online, and that is…the tasks and the goals we have set in place may appear to be too difficult and the old comfort zone I remind you of often gets in our way once again.  We decide the pain of getting these seemingly hard task accomplished will be worse than the pain we are living
in right now.

So has any of this sounded familiar to you?

You really need to understand just what procrastination is and how serious of an issue it may be for you, why your life is suffering from making these choices?  Or should I say NOT making these choices.

You may not be faced with serious decisions right now in your life, but I can pretty much guarantee that there is something in your life right now that you wish to change for the better.  There is also a high probability that you can
make these changes if you could just end procrastination.

It is time that you change some of your habits, and live the life you deserve.

Personal Development Wealth Begins from The Inside Out

img_0215jeffstewart3.jpgThe real solution begins on the inside.
Have you ever tried to fix or do something and in that process end up causing yourself more work than you planned.  The project you started ended up taking twice as long or longer than planned?

Well I did that this week.

I was building an arbor for our entrance to our garden and I was sinking some posts into the ground and one of the roots I was chopping through was not a root at all.  In fact it was the electrical line to my outside
yard light.  OOOPS!!!

Well without the Power Source it is pretty dark outside now.

For the last several days I have been emailing about a webinar that Stuart Tan and I are going to be doing this Thursday night at 9:00PM eastern.

Well the title of Our webinar is the P.O.W.E.R Webinar.

Here is the link to register for this P.O.W.E.R. Webinar call
http://www.layoffyourboss2.com/wealthempowermentwebinar.htm

Without this power we are basically setting in the dark afraid to make a move because we are unsure of what that next step may hold.

We need to tap into this Power that Stuart will be sharing about.

Well first we need to know where the Power source is before we can really connect.

So where is it?

Instead of searching all around for it have you ever thought about tapping into one of the strongest Power Sources available?

This source of Power is on the inside…and it is on the inside of you.

We have a tendency to look for the solution outside but the real solution begins from inside.

There is a hidden “inner” dynamic that determines your abilities and your level of success. Most people don’t know about it, and that is why most people never achieve the true wealth they desire.

Lack of money and unwanted circumstances are not the problem, these are just indications of what is going on inside of you.
Have you ever wondered why some people seem to get rich easily, while others merely go from one wealth building idea to another without ever finding true wealth and happiness?
I really believe that you need to understand that you are 100% responsible for your life, your finances, your relationships, your habits, your emotions, your career, basically everything in your life.

I mentioned in an earlier email that we need to work from the inside out… you work from the inside out to achieve whatever it is you desire. Your thoughts feelings and actions work together to help you create the life you truly desire and deserve.

Ask yourself a serious question right now.  What are the results you are focused on.  You may be looking at the wrong results.

Quit looking at your current results; if you do not have a lot of money in the bank then quit focusing on that.

You must begin to understand that your present state of your bank account, social life, position at work, and your environment is nothing more than the physical manifestation of what you have been trained to think.

If you notice that your bank account is empty which is a (result) you will find yourself beginning to think thoughts of lack and you will begin to build ideas of poverty into your life.

Stop right now and really look at your life.  Are you Happy with it right now? Are you financially in the position you would choose to be in?  Are you living your dreams?  How is your health?  What about the dream job you go to everyday.

If any of the above is not where you would like to be given a different chance at life, don’t you think it is time for change?

So if the answer to the question is yes you would like change…then why don’t you seek after this change?

I think it goes back to the beginning of the email when we were talking about that place where we are not really sure of what lies ahead in the dark.

We associate more pain with making the change than not making it.

Find that place inside that believes that you  can be, do, and have anything you want. You just have to be willing to pursue your dreams. Never giving up; no matter how big whatever it is that seems to be a barrier in your way.

Stuart would like to help you find that place inside that will allow you to say I can and will overcome.

On our P.O.W.E.R. Webinar Stuart will help you by showing how you can find that place on the inside that you can bring out and draw from to help you reach your full potential and capabilities.

Join Stuart Tan and I This Thursday night at 9:00 PM eastern for our P.O.W.E.R. Webinar…”How To Transform Your Life By Maximizing Your Profitability”

PS:  As Napoleon Hill stated “When riches begin to come they come so quickly, in such great abundance, that one wonders where they have been hiding during all those lean years.”

Stuart Tan Scaling Your Business From The Inside Out

Back in May of 2007 when I started out in Internet Marketing.  I did this out of desperation.  I was ready to lose everything I had and was approached by my son Keith Wellman who was already had a business that was well on its way to becoming a 7 figure online business.

After my first product launch 3 weeks after I got started online I all of the sudden had a 6 figure business in my lap that I never intended to have and really knew nothing about.  This brought on a lot of things that went through my mind and I came to a point where I could have lost everything I had just started.

I was very fortunate to be able to have several people that have mentored me and coached me along the way and have been there to help when I needed it.

One thing that saved me was that I understood I needed to turn to someone that has already accomplished what I wanted to do. So I turned to finding a good coach and mentor.

I have found several good ones along the way but there are really  3 that  I turn to when I need some help to get my business to the next level and they are My son Keith WellmanKen McArthur, and Stuart Tan.

Before starting up a business you really need to know the person you are and that search is going to be going on on the inside.

I would like you to look at this video from one of my mentors Stuart Tan and really make some inside decisions as to why you want to get started in your own Internet business.

Scaling The Business From Inside Out

I hope you have enjoyed the video and that it has you doing some serious thinking.

“As A Man Thinks In His Heart, So Is He”. Finding Success Within!

Jeff and Stuart Tan“Imagine A World Filled With Opportunity, Possibility and Passion… And How You Can Create This World In Your Life “

I found the above headline on one of Stuarts sites and it has always stuck with me and I wanted to share it with you.  It seems we can dream of opportunity, possibliities and passions but we never can see them in our own lives.

“As a man thinks in his heart, so is he”.  What is your Heart thinking?

Well this is another long one…but you need to read because we are going someplace with all of these posts, and you
really can’t afford to disregard reading.

OK after yesterdays email I hit a sore spot with a few of my readers.

What I have to say to that is GOOD! It is about time…that means we are getting to the core of the problem and we now can begin to focus in on the solution.  Isn’t that what we are supposed to be doing?  We deliver a solution to the problem .

Here is a reply I received back from my email I sent out.

_________________________________________________________
Jeff.

I have been buying products for some time now. I have been trying to get started online for 7 years now with no success whatsoever.

I am about done buying all of these hype products that do not deliver any value to me at all.

I have spent thousands of dollars on products that are nothing but crap.

Now you have the nerve to tell me that it is because I am doing nothing with what I buy and all I am doing is making
excuses instead of trying to apply what I bought.

Well I guess this IM stuff just wasn’t meant to be for me…at least I thank you for opening my eyes to see that I need to stop buying crap from you guys and move on.

You guys keep getting richer and richer while I guess the life I have now is just how it was meant to be for me.

You are correct though I am very frustrated right now.

Enjoy your riches…

Even though you kind of struck a nerve today I do want to leave you with this.  I have always thought you seem to be one of the good guys.

Les
_________________________________________________________

Well OK then…at least I am still considered one of the good guys.  Maybe someday I can beat out Ken McArthur as the nicest guy on the Internet.  He seems to be my competition in that challenge thanks to Joel Comm

I truly appreciate Les for believing in what I had to say. I’m asking Les and everyone else to continue to pursue your desires of freedom and riches.  But please pursue them in the right way.

First of all Les took things a little differently than I actually intended the email to be taken…BUT what he said fell right in line with what I said.

What is holding Les back?  Is it the products he is buying?

OR… is it because he is missing a plan? Or a concrete understanding of where he needs to go? Or a lack of the appropriate business building mindset?

Could it be… and excuse to prevent oneself from accepting responsibility?

After all… why is it that some people actually DO end up making money while others don’t? Do people buy Donald Trump’s or Robert Kiyosaki’s books, even though the books don’t make them billionaires?

The answer is obvious. You CAN’T make any money from anything you read. Reading is for knowledge. Results are from action. Knowledge propels action.   But effective knowledge propels effective action. Maybe you didn’t hit the ball the first time you swung. You need to improve your swing, rather than complain that Baseball is a lousy game.

Did you even know what you were buying in the first place? What were the products supposed to DO for you? If you didn’t know, then why did you buy?  If you did, what action did you take?

The #1 reason why people are able to achieve great things is because they accept responsibility for where they are, what they think, and what they feel. Do you think Trump, Branson, Gates, Jobs actually became super wealthy simply because something dropped on their lap? Well, Steve Jobs was fired from his OWN company, Apple. He created a chain of failures. But that was not to stop him from making things happen with Pixar.

Do you think it’s uncontrollable? Your feelings and emotions and your success?  Well, that’s NOT what my friend and success coach says. If you think you’re out of control, it’s likely that you don’t even have a strategy to reach your success.

This is a perfect place to get going on the email for today.

What are the messages that you are playing in your mind from the earliest days of your life.

Our fundamental thoughts about ourselves and our personal abilities originate at such a young age that they become
a part of us.

By the time we become adults, these thinking patterns, either positive or negative have been with us for so long that
We begin to believe that “this is the way it is”. Sounds like this is exactly what is going on with Les in the email above.

Now you might or might not be a big fan or believer in the Bible but it says…

“As a man thinks in his heart, so is he”.

What is your Heart thinking?

I want you to take a look at this video right now before going any further into this email.  Really pay attention to the message.  For some it will take you back in time for a few minutes like it did me.

Watch Video then come back and finish the email…I think the video really helps clear up what I want to say…

Success is an inside job my friend.  That’s right success is going to come from within…and you are going to need the courage to really look within to see who you really are.

Think about what you are thinking about…

I want to challenge you to start thinking that you can change your life for the better,  You can earn a higher level of
income, you can be successful and enjoy life like you see others around you doing.

Your actions begin with a thought, and if the thoughts you think are negative and filled with fear then I will have to tell you that it will be impossible to take positive action.

We act based on what we believe. If we believe that the result of our efforts will be poor, then chances are we will never act.

That in turn becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy, and we remain stuck in a rut that we dug for ourselves.

I can tell you that my personal life changed dramatically after I realized that I did not have to continue to believe those negative messages from my childhood. I did not just have to be a dairy farmer like my family before me if I didn’t choose to be.

I don’t have to continue living just a middle income to poor financial life just because that is where I came from and what I was born into.

Today I am enjoying more success in my business and personal life than ever before, because I have had a complete overhaul, Mind, Body, and heart. I now believe and understand that I have the opportunity to be as successful as I want to be.

I know if I can do it, anyone who desires to change their life for the better can do it.

The person that really helped me discover the person I am within is Stuart Tan.

I stayed up with him all night at JVAlertLive and just listened to what he had to say.

Since then I have taken every possible moment to talk with Stuart and further discover the person I can be.

I really believe I am doing what I need to be doing and the IMPACT I am going to create in my life and the lives of those I can touch is going to be so huge.

I also beleive I am a person that deserves and CAN achieve the success that each of us has within us…

Once I found Stuart I knew he was someone I needed to bring into the lives of those on my list.

I look for those that can help me and my business grow and then I want to share with you

Why some Internet Marketers Succeed and some fail!

Jeff and Stuart TanI have another postthat I really need you to read… I am very sorry it is a little long…but it is very important you read it all and take it to heart.

This post might just either make you a little upset or it might get you to thinking a little bit.

I really hope it makes you good and upset and gets you to do some serious thinking.

I have another problem that I see that really bothers me that I want to share with you  today.

My problem today is wondering why some people can buy a product and find some level of success with it and thinks it is the greatest thing to come along, and the  very next person that buys the product finds it to be the most worthless thing they have bought and just has to return it
to get there money back…(usually before even doing anything with it.)  This person finds no success at all.

Here are some of the responses I got today in my inbox from people trying to get started online.

Jeff I just want to know how do I get started?

Jeff I just don’t know what to do!

Jeff I am finding Internet Marketing is so difficult and I don’t think I will make it.

I get these types of questions on a daily basis…these were just from today…

Here’s what I feel is one of the major issue in Internet Marketing.

The main reason why 90% of Internet marketers fail is because they only see the problems.

Specifically problems which “can’t be solved, or so they seem they can’t be solved.

A brick wall rises up in front of the person and it is instant  frustration.

Who doesn’t get frustrated?  I sure do!

But the interesting thing is that you decide almost immediately that:

Internet Marketing is just way too difficult, and you quit and return your product.

You feel that there’s no money in IM…well at least not for you…

You think only others can succeed, because they are some type of
computer genius.
____________________________________________________________

I left that space for you to add your reason of the day on why you can’t succeed as an Internet Marketer.
You see  to many people find the problem based approach is much easier  to adopt when you find problem after problem and wall after wall jump up in front of them.
I really think you got the right idea…just give up at the first sign of trouble and blame it on the product and return it for a full refund…STUPID PRODUCT ANYWAYS!

The next one will be much better and it will have better promises with it.

OK so I don’t think it is really the right idea but it sure is easier isn’t it?

Wait a minute now…what about the ones that win and succeed?

Didn’t they go through the same problems and issues as well?

What really made the difference?

I know what it is…they have a much larger brain!

They were not born in the baby boomer years and they are more skilled on how to use the Internet…

You see I know the excuses because I used them myself.

What I see as the difference between the 90% of fail and the 10% who succeed is that those who succeed have a different mindset.

Instead of coming up with an excuse…they come up with a solution.

Do you think I have ever hit any brick walls in the last 14 months?

Of course I have and still do and so will you and everyone else.

But what do you do when you face the wall?

Well you can just stare at it hoping it moves…

You can say it is way to high and I will never get over it so I better just quit and turn around.

If your really lucky a ladder will fall from the sky and you can use it to climb over the wall…or just maybe someone will come by with a ladder. (It might be a long wait…)

Or do you think or look for a solution to get over the wall?

Or better yet, smash the wall?

Consider this for just a minute…

Do you focuses on the problem and even think up even more new problems?

Or are you the one who comes up with the solutions?

When I got started Keith gave me a step by step blueprint to follow and when I got stuck he would ask what part of it didn’t I understand.

I would tell him from the moment he begun.

But I didn’t quit…we found a way to help me understand…and continued to press on.

The sad truth about Internet marketing is that you can be as big a failure as you CHOOSE to be.

Do you agree?

On the other hand, you can be as successful as you want to be.

I want to see you succeed and so does my friend Stuart Tan.

That is why we put together this amazing P.O.W.E.R. Webinar just for you.

Ok it is time to talk back to me…let me know your thoughts on why some marketers succeed and others fail and why do people buy products after products and do nothing with them and find no success.

Let me see your comments

Jeff and Stuart Tan How To Transform Your Life By Maximizing Your Profitability

Jeff and Stuart TanOver the last year I have been receiving emails from my list and I have been noticing something that really bothers me alot.

The reason it really bothers me is that I see the same pattern that I got myself into over the last several months before I finally said enough was enough and did something about the mess I had gotten myself into.

The problem I am talking about is going into debt to pay off the debt we already have.

I found myself not being able to pay the bills each month that I had occurred and instead of looking for a solution that would really help me out, I just paid the bill with a credit card that I had until it was maxed out and then I went to the next one.

My reasoning was, “I will work more hours next week to pay off what I just put on my credit card, or more hours to ensure I could pay all the bills next month.

This vicious cycle continued until I had 3 credit cards maxed out.

I used to think I was the only one that did this until I started Internet Marketing and began to start reading the emails from you.

The stories I hear are to familiar.

The reasoning for it is always, “I know it is not the right solution to my problem but, I just didn’t see any other way out.

The same goes with buying products I promote.  Sometimes I feel bad about even promoting anything because I know several on my list feel that the product that I just promoted is the product that is going to solve the debt problem once and for all so you max out another credit card to buy.

This way of handling our finances just leads to a point of desperation and when I try to mentor or coach this person that is in this state of desperation, very seldom do I see a favorable response.  The biggest reason is that I can’t help that person fast enough and they end up discouraged and leaving the program before it really helps.

Some people claim that too many of those in debt are just recklessly building up debts and spending exuberantly, knowing that they can go bust and start again.

This assumption is totally not the case from what I see and know.

The huge, vast majority of people in serious debt get there unintentionally, and they are ashamed, sad or depressed, and extremely anxious about it. Furthermore, they genuinely want to deal with it, if they can. They need our support, not our derision.
So, if you’re struggling with debt, don’t feel bad. There are millions like you who have fallen on hard times, for one reason or another, and you deserve support.

I went through this struggle…I went through the pain and humiliation of being in debt over my head and not understanding how I could get
myself free.

I was fortunate and was offered the right kind of help and support I needed.

This same support and help is available to you also.

My question to you…do you want the support and do you want the help?

If the answer to these questions are yes then I would like you to join me on July 10th at 9pm eastern with myself and a very good friend
of mine Stuart Tan on our P.O.W.E.R. Webinar (How To Transform Your Life By Maximizing Your Profitability”)

Support Tickets and Building Relationships

jeffsf5.jpg Support Tickets…You just either Love them Or you Hate them.

When I first started marketing I decided I would answer my support tickets all myself.  I was told I was crazy and that it would not last for long.

Well I am happy to say that after my first year of Marketing I still am answering my support tickets myself.

Some days I go in with one eye closed praying there are none to answer…this usually is after I have had a customer that I just can’t satisfy no matter how hard I try.  Usually it is not even over anything I have did wrong.  It is usually over someone else’s product or service that is giving poor support to their customers and they are coming to me because they know I will try and help.

What I am finding to be the biggest trouble is the lack of trust in support desks by the customers.  To many have had such bad experiences that they put in a ticket just expecting it not to get answered or some other kind of bad experience.  Marketers with poor support give support desks a bad name, it isn’t the support desk.

I recently dealt with a customer over a product I promoted that no matter what I did I could not make him happy.  What I soon realized was that I was not going to make him happy.  He was just looking for an excuse as to why he was not able to take action on a product that he bought.

Even though I was answering his support that he sent to my personal email and my support desk…he still was bound and determined he was going to criticize my support.  I did the only thing I could to help him out.    I signed him up for a program I am starting in July and am going to try to work with him.

Probably a bad move on my part as I know he can get on my webinars and start up more trouble.  When he does he will be confronted right then and there and then I will do the next best thing… unsubscribe him from my list.  I know it should have been the first thing I should have done.  Hey I am a sucker when it comes to helping people what can I say.

OK that is the bad about my support so what is it that I like?

Well 2 very good reasons…

1.  I learn a lot from people and what their needs are and this allows me to develop products and services to help meet these needs.

2.  It helps me build a more personal and one-on-one relationship with my customers.  Responding to them personally opens up a dialogue that really helps me to get to know those that are on my list.

It has been amazing how many people I have brought into my programs just by building a trust factor with the person that sent me support.  I get support asking me to help them get in touch with a different marketer that I might have promoted a product for… I love this… usually the support from the other marketer continues to be non existent and I win the trust of that person and they unsubscribe from one list and continue on mine, because I meet their needs and build trust.

I know it sounds kind of mean spirited of me to Love the fact that another marketer is giving bad support… Well one thing you need to do to get ahead of the pack is to fill the holes and if one of them is offering better support over my competition then I am going to be all over it.

Is my support perfect all the time.  Well let’s say I do my best…I finally realized I could not make everyone happy…all I can do is do the best job I possibly can and keep listening to the customer.  By the way the customer is not always right… but I will sure make you feel as if you were…I learned a lot from my Grandpa Norm Freeman… He used to tell me all the time that the customer is always right if I would argue with one when I worked for him on his fruit market.  One day I disagreed with him after he dealt with me for arguing with a customer that was WRONG… he told me he knew the customer was wrong and that I was right and then he went on to explain to me the reason that the customer was always right and how to deal with people correctly.

Now when I see one of my customers trying to pull something over on me I just smile and send the best email of my life back to that person.  Usually all is well but occasionally you come across the one like the gentleman that I have been dealing with lately that I probably wil never be able to help.  Mostly because he really doesn’t want the help to begin with.

So I guess I shall continue answering my support myself and doing the best job I possibly can.

Time consuming?  YES!  Worth it in the end?  Most definitely.  I love building relationships with my list and helping them in any way I can.

I was new at this to a year ago and I know what I needed the most…HELP!

Hope this is of some help to any that read this.

Enjoy your day!
