The other day I was talking to my son Keith.  I was telling him
that I just was not getting the sales that I should be getting from
my promotions.  I was having an all out pitty party for poor me.

He told me it was all in having the right mindset.  I kind of argued
with him for a little while on this.  I told him every-time I promoted
something I believed  I sent out a very good email and the product I
promoted was something that should have had very good
conversions.

Seems like everyone else that was promoting it was making a killing
on their promotions while I made a sale or two right off the bat and
then nothing.

He told me he can’t explain why some promotions do great for some
and for others nothing.  But he insisted it is all in my mindset.  He said,
“If I was discouraged at all or didn’t believe it was going to sell that
somehow it would come across in the promotional email I sent out.

Well I have been doing some thinking and I beleive that I have  found
part of my problem?

I have worked so long for someone else that I really have not
developed the entrepreneurial mindset to the degree that I
need it to be yet.

I have counted on someone else to hand me a paycheck at the
end of every week after I got up in the morning, went to work
and put in my 8 hours, and this is how I supported my needs.
I am trying to run a business while I have an employee mindset.

I am not the employee anymore. I am the person that is trying to
run my own successful business now.

I get email after email from subscribers telling me of all the
times they have tried and failed and tried and failed.  Next
they want to know why, and can I help?  This is the biggest
reason that led me to setting up a support desk.

Although I receive some excellent emails that I truley
enjoy.  I also get many that want help but the help you
try to give just is never good enough, and never will be.
These people are focused on nothing but negativity.

After I read so many of these emails I start thinking about
my own success.  Yes I had a very successful product launch
with layoffyourboss.com.  But what have I accomplished since.
I start wondering if I will end up like so many others that just
are not making it.   Isn’t that just some positive thinking?  NOT!

Deep down there is a little skepticism that has me thinking I
possibly will not make it as an Internet Marketer.  I also find
myself thinking it may be safer to just go back to working for
someone else.

Wait isn’t working for someone else the problem that got me to
where I am now?

So what do we do?

First stop thinking like an employee and start thinking like a
successful Internet Marketer. We need to start thinking like
the guy that is running the very successful business.

We need to learn to be confident in the abilities that we do have.
We need to learn how to do things for ourselves, We have to
develop persistence and not just quit and start whining when
things don’t work the first time, or even the second time and third.

When things are not going the way that we thought they would we
need to figure out what is holding back success and map out a new
direction to turn things back around.

When I stopped and thought about things for awhile I realized that
what I was focusing on right now is actually going very well.  I have
put my focus on building a relationship with my subscribers.  I have
received tons of very positive feedback on how I have been doing.

Will you ask yourself a question right now? And then will you give
yourself an honest answer?

Do you have a positive mental attitude towards yourself and
the desires you are trying to achieve or are your desires being
effective negatively by disappointments.

Do you continue to look back on every time you tried and failed
or are your eyes fixed forward on finding your success?

Successful Entrepreneurs Believe and Trust in Themselves.
Envision your success, and never give up.

I have the desire to achieve my goals and dreams and the
passion. But I need something else.  I need to believe in myself
and know that I can do this.

I need to get away from the employee mindset and realize I
am a business man that is going to achieve the success I desire.

Oh by the way… The very next promotion that i did after i did
some restructuring of my mindset was not to shabby \':)\'

How is your Mindset?

To the achievement of success
