Find A NICHE You Are PASSIONATE About
Since I have started my Internet Marketing Business after Laying off My Boss I have found one of the hardest things for others to do is to discover a Niche that they are Passionate about, there is a want for the Niche and there are people out there willing to pull out their credit card and buy.
These are 3 necessary pieces of the puzzle when it comes to finding your Niche.
Let’s talk right now about finding your passion.
I was on a call recently that Finding your Niche ended up the topic of discussion.
One of the callers was telling us about the niche that she was wanting to explore and hoped to develop a product in.
This is a good thing. The only thing about the call that troubled me the most is that she kept going back to another subject that she all of the sudden came to life and passion just started oozing out of her very soul. She came alive and you could feel her excitement.
I kept telling her that is the direction she really needed to explore. Was not sure at that time if the topic was going to be profitable but it sure needed to be explored just because of the fact that it was something she was extremely Passionate about.
This would allow her to maintain a huge level of interest in her business.
Everyone has some kind of special interest… or a passion. We all know something that is of value to someone else, something that others are seeking information on. You need to discover what drives you, what excites you, what makes you tick.
My youngest son loves the farm. There is almost not a day that goes by that we don’t have to hear about the farm and cows. I worked on a dairy farm for 20 years and I took him with me when he was younger.
Ever since then he has had a passion for farms. It is to the point that we will say, “Brandon will you please stop talking about cows.” It drives us nuts. What is it that you talk about that drives everyone else nuts.
Now your family and friends may get tired of hearing this over and over again, but I bet there is a whole niche market of people out there that would love to hear what you have to say because they are passionate about the same exact thing.
Focus on your passion and you interests and discover how fun your work becomes. By doing this you will greatly improve your chances of being successful. Why?
Because it’s the only way you’re going to be able to devote the kind of time and effort to create a meaningful web site, build up the RIGHT traffic, generate WORTHWHILE income, and ENJOY what you’re doing.
You have to enjoy what you are doing in order to have the desire to allow yourself the time to do these things. If you have no passion about the information you are selling what is your website going to really look like?
What kind of traffic will you actually get to your website?
When someone comes to your website they need to feel what you are feeling, and trust me they will know. Your website will reflect exactly how passionate you are about your product.
So now ask yourself these questions:
What is it that you talk about?
What topics do you find yourself reading about?
What are your hobbies?
What do you do for fun?
What kind of talents do you have?
Oh by the way don’t forget to look right under your nose.
Think about what you do day after day without even thinking about it.
Example; My wife and I have 2 adopted special needs children. One of them has fetal alcohol syndrome. Someone can study on fetal alcohol all they want and write all the books they want and not be able to tell someone what they are in for if they adopt a fetal alcohol child.
So if you wanted to know this kind of information before you adopted a fetal alcohol child who would you go to?
The so called expert that studied it out of other books and case studies or, from someone that actually experiences living with a fetal alcohol child that they have raised from birth?
You have so much valuable knowledge that you can share with someone. Every day you learn things from your experiences that someone else could benefit from. Share your knowledge.
Take time to discover what it is that makes you tick and then share it. If you can’t figure it out by yourself, then go to family members and friends and ask them. Ask your pastor, your Mom or Dad, Aunts and Uncles, brothers and sisters. Get with someone who knows you and ask them this question. “What do you see as my biggest passion?”
Generally you will already know the answer to this question. After all it is your passion.
Now I know that there is a lot more to creating an E-book than just discovering your passion, but I feel you need to make it a fun experience. What a better way to get the most enjoyment out of the experience than to write about the thing you enjoy the most.
