The Importance of Having A Mentor For Your Online Business

Easy explanation. We both are fathers and we were both mentors to our sons as they grew up. That is the easiest way for me to explain what a mentor is. It is like a father setting the example and guiding his child’s path to guide and direct them around the obstacles in life. Trying to help them avoid mistakes in life that the parent already experienced. Someone there to listen to their childs dreams and ideas.
A mentor is someone who can act as a sounding board for ideas and plans. They bring their own unique experience of life and business, and are willing to share their skills and know how – and their contacts – with less experienced business people.
Mentors are not consultants, they will only advise from their own experience. By acting as a sounding board for their clients, they walk alongside them as the business grows. The mentor’s role is to support and develop, stimulate and challenge.
When I first got started online with my business I found that everything could be very confusing. I found that there were many pitfalls and problems that were very difficult and near impossible to work out on my own.
You will quite possibly and most likely find the same as you try to get started in your online Business.
Things such as; Choosing the right business or niche that is right for you. How do you get an upper edge on the competition in a saturated market? You may even have difficulty trying to figure out what your first step is going to be. You are probably struggling with the question of how is, everyone making money online and escaping their 9-5 jobs and you seem to be just spinning your wheels.
I found myself asking some of these very same questions my-self after my first launch of Layoff Your Boss.There are just so many questions that face a beginner. If you try to do it without help, you are just plain and simple setting yourself up for failure.
After getting to know many successful online Marketers, I have learned that there are very few if any that succeed by trying to do it all alone. You really must have someone to help steer and guide you in the right direction.
