Questions You Need To Ask Before Starting Up An Internet Business (part 2)
In this post I am going to finish up from my last post on the important questions you should be asking yourself before you start up your own online Internet Marketing Business.
In the last post we discussed that you need to think about the qualities you possess, what is it that really makes you tick and how these qualities might help you be a more successful business owner before you really get started.
In part 2 we are going to finish this post by asking the Important questions about who are target audience is, who are your customers. We will need to ask questions about our “GREAT MONEY MAKING IDEA” Who is our competition and what do you have to offer as your USP that will distinguish you as the marketer of choice over your competition.
- Do I really have a money making idea? Not all great ideas make money. A good business idea addresses a problem, need or pain that a particular group of people or companies face that is significant enough to warrant spending money to solve or alleviate. Before bringing a new product or service to market
test your ideas and make sure they’re profitable before you get started.y - Who are my ideal target customers? Every business needs customers. Successful businesses know exactly how to describe who their best customers are, You will understand what “pain” they’re feeling and what they need, want, and desire. Knowing this will allow you to connect with the pain and their needs and provide the solution to the problems your customers are experiencing…and what solutions they are willing to open up their wallets and pay for.
- Who is my competition? This is a big one. First of all yes you want competition. Competition tells you there is a market already. You just need to rise to the occasion and be better than your competition. You will need to learn everything you can about the others in your field who provide similar products or services to the same ideal customer. Know what products and services they offer and which ones that they don’t so that you can fill the holes that are existing in the current market. Trust me they are there. It may be something like offering better support than the competition, or offering audio and video training that your competition does not. This take us right into the next important question you need to ask yourself before starting up your online Internet business…
- What do I offer that the competition doesn’t? Why do I as the customer want to choose you to provide the solution to my problem? What makes Your services or product unique above the competitors? This is your USP… (Unique Selling Proposition) You”ll need to make this case to your prospective customers to buy your product or service instead of buying from your competition. Why should your customer make you their Marketer of Choice. The last couple questions I want to direct back to you on a more personal level again…
- Do YOU enjoy a good challenge? Trust me when I say that a business will provide you with constant challenges. If you enjoy a good challenge, then that is a good thing as you will find that it will energize you. If you don’t, you better ask yourself right now if you are up to the challenge you are venturing into… you may end up finding yoursel feeling as though you’re engaged in a constant uphill battle and that you are all alone. This will lead to your business possibly failing, and an early departure from the Internet Marketing world.

Are you a self starter? When you have your own business, there’s no boss or manager to tell you what to do and when to do it. You are the one that is now the boss. I know that part really sounds great and let me tell you from my experience that IT IS GREAT! But also from experience I can tell you that this is easier said than done. To get your business off and running you’ll have to motivate yourself to get things started. Every day you will be faced with the decision of something as simple as do I want to really get out of bed and set at my computer today to accomplish what I need to get done….or do I want to procrastinate today and put it off until you feel like doing it more than you do today. Ever procrastinated before? Have you ever had less desirable results because of your procrastination?Am I a self starter? When you have your own business, there’s no boss or manager to tell you what to do and when to do it. To get your business off and running you’ll have to motivate yourself to get things started.
Well there you have it…those are the 12 questions I would ask myself before I decided to start my own online Internet Marketing business.
Although I am sure there are several more I could come up with…those are tops on the list. If you have any others you would like to share with those reading the posts please feel free to share in the comments.
Enjoy your day
